Well. They didn't approve us but they didn't deny us. They need to review the case further and there are more legal details I don't have the energy to get into right now. We'll find out for sure (I think) in another month.
Please exhale. I'd hate to have any injuries on my conscience.
A little about me
I "roughed it" in Zihuatanejo, Mexico for three years with my (now ex) husband while we waited for his US visa. Well, we didn't really rough it -- we had running water & glass in the windows, but it was really hot.
He was denied in September 2009 & I returned to Michigan in February 2010, and while our story ended there, mine continues at Hoosblog and my dog, Owen, is documenting his life on Instagram.
I'm no longer posting to this blog, but I'm leaving it online so you can read about our journey. Check out the links under Posts That Explain Things to get the basics, or the tags at the bottom for specific categories.

Nope. Gonna keep holding my breath for another month. But I won't tell you, so you don't have to feel guilty if I turn blue.

Ohmigosh, I'm away for your worst week ever! Okay, not worst, but highly stressful. Wow.
That sucks.
I've had friends go through gunk like this for years. In the end, they had to hire a really expensive lawyer who specialized in it. *sigh*
Oopsy. I meant to say: Good luck! I really hope it's just some paperwork snafu, that'll all be cleared up asap!

We do have an expensive lawyer and despite all this she is doing a great job. I guess they've been tightening the bootstraps on the number of cases they're pushing through and we got caught. I don't know how I'm going to wait another month but it doesn't look like I have much choice.
What's small and blue and sitting in the corner? Me after holding my breath for nine or so hours. PUFF! That was hard!
