Those pics are so adorable. Owen is so cute! How is the puppy training going? I know they are just balls of energy. Luckily Maya has slowed down a bit in her old age (8 months)...
He IS adorable and MAN does he have a lot of energy. Especially in the morning. He didn't make any noise for the first couple days but now he's a snarling, yipping beast!
Get lots of pictures now when they are cute, you will need them later when they are older and destroying your stuff. It really is cool to look back when they are older and remember when they were tiny and full of energy.
Keep his nails clipped and he will learn how to navigate the tile, well except for when it is wet. I have to say he will most likely always have that problem.
That's what I figured. The only problem right now is they say to avoid places where un-vaccinated animals frequent, and they are EVERYWHERE in our neighborhood, including in our parking lot.
I "roughed it" in Zihuatanejo, Mexico for three years with my (now ex) husband while we waited for his US visa. Well, we didn't really rough it -- we had running water & glass in the windows, but it was really hot.
He was denied in September 2009 & I returned to Michigan in February 2010, and while our story ended there, mine continues at Hoosblog and my dog, Owen, is documenting his life on Instagram.
I'm no longer posting to this blog, but I'm leaving it online so you can read about our journey. Check out the links under Posts That Explain Things to get the basics, or the tags at the bottom for specific categories.

Welcome to the family Owen! How is he managing on the tile floor? We can't wait to meet him!
Mom, he is hilarious. He slides all over but does manage to sit every now and then. Mostly he just lies down.
He stumbles a lot when he walks so you can imagine how much the tile helps that. And forget about it if it's wet...
I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him!
That is all.
Adam
Unless they are sleeping. :) Enjoy your new friend!
Owen? Is he named after someone?
Cute.
Too cute, Melanie! Puppies are great
Awww. He's adorable!
Melanie, he's so adorable! Great name, too! What a little sweetie!
Adam, we've decided they make puppies that adorable so you don't kick them across the room when they won't stop chewing on your toes. :)
JLC, yes. He sleeps a lot right now. Thank god.
AC, yes, Ben Stiller's good buddy. :P We didn't like Benny (well, Ibis didn't, so this was the next best thing.)
Wendy, do you have a dog?
Gypsy, that's what we say 1000 times a day. He howls when he can't find us. *heart melts*
Robin, he hasn't figured out the web cam yet though. I don't know what's wrong with him.
Welcome back Travis!
SO CUTE!

He is too cute for words!! I showed Matt the pictures and now he wants a puppy, lol.
Welcome Owen!!!
Nadine, he seems to have that affect on a lot of people. :)
Very very adorable.

Penguin, I'm trying to make sure I play with him a lot because like you said, he won't be this adorable forever.
I love that when I carry him down the stairs he tucks his little head under my chin. Aww.
I would think it's too soon to cut his nails, isn't it?
Sorry, yes, I meant when he was older as an adult. For now keep him running around on concrete, that will help him naturally.
