One More Day...

I've struggled with my normal routine while we've had family here, but tomorrow everything should quiet back down. (Ironically, a car alarm has been going off in our parking lot for the past twenty minutes...) We're sad to see my dad go, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.

Today is Ibis' birthday, and between his cold, a trip to the airport, and a visit to immigration (for me), we sure have a fun day planned. He did schedule massages for us this evening and I'm really looking forward to that. It's one of those in a cabana on the beach. Ohmmmmmmmm...

Other than that, there's not much new going on. Over the weekend I finished my first new chapter for The Other Side. I decided to focus on developing my subplot rather than working on my beta edits for the time being, but they're there waiting for me.

So what's new with you? How's daylight savings treating you? We don't switch for a couple more weeks so I'm actually writing this before 7am!

Luckily we dont have daylight saving time changes in South Africa. Its bad enough with my son changing work shifts all the time. From working 2pm to 10.30pm for 2 weeks (which he likes) he is now working 6am until 2.30pm (which he hates). It also puts me out because now I have to make two trips in the same direction in the mornings - once to take him to work and then again to take his brother to school.

Oh man, I'm exhausted! I really really really wanted to ignore the alarm clock this morning. But I've been getting lots done!

Hope your day goes well, and you find some easy relaxation.

Happy Birthday to your husband. March 10 is also my birthday.

Enjoy your massage. I am counting down the days until I return to my favorite beach hut massage in april.

I enjoy reading your blog. I live in California but have a second home in Barra De Potosi.

We've got colds over here, so I have been going to bed early anyway.
Sorry you had to say bye to your dad! I can only imagine how hard that was after such a long stay. Have a wonderful massage!

Happy Birthday, Ibis!

Momcat, that would be nice not having to deal with the clocks getting all screwed up, but your driving situation sounds frustrating.

Janna, I don't know why, but I've actually been getting up earlier for the past week. Before the sun rises!

Happy birthday Sharon! Barra de Potosi is our favorite beach. :)

Turkey, I've got a sick birthday boy on my hands so I'm doing a bit of nursing myself...

Thanks Wendy!

Somehow the co-massages has turned into just a massage for me. The woman didn't write down that we both wanted one and only has room for one of us. I tried to give it to him, but since he's sick he said he'd rather do it when he's feeling better. Perhaps on MY birthday next week, lol.

I hate Daylight Savings Time! Hate it! It's a conspiracy, let me tell you. It's a conspiracy of greed and a plot against night people everywhere.

Happy Birthday to Ibis! And I hope you guys have a wonderful massage!

Spy, Ibis is no longer getting a massage (and I feel really bad about this) but I will certainly enjoy mine. Did I mention it's in a cabana on the beach?

Happy Birthday to Ibis! The messages sound fun, but the rest sounds like poopity poop.

Thanks Robin! The massage was AWESOME, then we had wine & cheese for dinner, yum! And he still feels like crap, poor guy.

I love daylight savings time so much! I am a "light person", so I am always more motivated when there is a lot of light. Strange, huh?

I'm excited you finished your new chapter! And I'm totally jealous about your massage!!!

Happy Birthday to Ibis!!!

Colby, we get a lot of light down here so it seems unnecessary, but I understand so many countries do it it only makes sense. I totally get the motivation when there's more daylight!
