A Day in the Life of... Oh, Enjoy Some Pretty Pictures

We watch the sunrise every morning from bed (or more accurately, I watch the sunrise, as Ibis gets up around 5am) but I don't always take pictures. While it's nice to see, they tend to all look the same. Well we've started to get a few more clouds - it even rained a couple nights ago - so now the sky really lights up.

Here's yesterday's sunrise:

As luck would have it, guests from the hotel invited us to dinner last night at our favorite restaurant, Il Mare, and I watched the sunset:

The cycle wouldn't be complete without this morning's sunrise:

Ahhhhh.

So how was your day? I've been busy with some projects that have come up and haven't been able to write (unless you count yesterday's poem, lol) but I'm hoping I'll get back to it soon.

Wow! I like the last sunrise. I love how the clouds are reflecting the light. If you want any more clouds, let me know, we have plenty here! ;)

Turkey, I actually waited for that one. I thought the clouds might be a little more illuminated, but it still turned out nicely. I always enjoy these.

I love the pictures!! I think sunrises and sunsets are so beautiful!!

We get up at 6am so we used to see the sunrise, but now it's getting light pretty early and I don't want to wake up earlier than 6am.

Nadine, we STILL haven't had daylight savings yet, so the sun rises at 7am. That makes it pretty easy to see. Once the time changes I may not see as many.

Wow, I agree with Jen.
All I have a view of is an overpass of a highway.
That view might even be worth all the trouble you have had.
It is almost as nice as the ones we get up here in GH.
That was the only good thing about that place, the sunsets.

You are going to get a kick out of my word----> matangl

Jen, I do love the views. I sat on the edge of my bed to take those. :)

Penguin, you're right. We chose Zihua because we figured if we couldn't live where we wanted, at least we'd have nice views.

lol at the word. I've had some weird ones lately.

That's so beautiful! I'm in Boston visiting my family. My parents are so friggin' funny. They're like Seinfeld's parents on the show, but I think way funnier. I begged my mom to let me write about them, but she's sort of private, and vetoed the idea. Again. I spent the whole day laughing.

After a emotionally trying day, lack of clients, money worries, your beautiful sunrise and sunset pictures are a breath of fresh air!

Thanks!

Robin, can you change the names to protect identities? No? Hmm...

I'm glad you're having such a great time. I see where you get your sense of humor from!

What I would give to wake up to palm trees outside my window every morning!

Donna, from your profile pic it looks like you have one. :P

I'm more of a pine tree kind of girl...
