Day of Reckoning

After I bring Ibis to work this morning, I'm going to sit down and read through my latest additions to my book. I think they're good, I hope they improve upon the story and make it more complex, and I'll soon find out.

After two days at the beach, I have a quiet day at home doing laundry and eating leftovers, and I'm actually looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I love a day full of volleyball, soccer, frisbee, swimming, and dominoes; but I'm physically tired and looking forward to the rest. After all, we're supposed to go salsa dancing tonight!

Any big plans for the weekend, especially for those of you who've trapped indoors in sub-zero temperatures?

Ooh, I hope you enjoy your day!

I'm feeling so much better, and it's a good thing. We have a playdate for lunch, and a family church activity tonight. Should be a fun-filled day!

Enjoy your "day off", so to speak, Mel!

Does housecleaning count for having plans? That will keep me plenty busy this weekend. *grin*

Janna, I'm glad you're feeling better. Start guzzling water - I'm sure the playdate will take it out of you!

Jen, since I posted this, Ibis informed me that I have not one, but two trips to the airport today. They take 45 minutes to an hour each, so there goes my day. I'm also taking my dad grocery shopping, so there's another hour (but of course I don't mind that!)

I have the hardest time "stepping back" from my writings. I think I mentally 'fill in the blanks' when I read it. Which may be one of the reasons why editing is so tough for me.

We actually have sun this weekend!! We have a couple of errands to do today and a birthday party/brunch tomorrow.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, have fun dancing tonight!!

ETA - just read about the airport. Ugh! Drive carefully!

Turkey, I do the same thing with my editing. I'm trying to read certain passages out loud to check myself, but I don't intend to do that for the entire MS.

Enjoy your sunshine!

Salsa Dancing! Oh! Lucky you! That's awesome.

I'm off to fireplace Borders. I think. Yeah. Still hoping Glenn will get to Dutch Harbor and call. It's been 8 days!

Oooh, just read your comment. Sorry about your day!

Spy, I'm jealous of your day. I hope you hear from him soon, I'm sure you're going nuts.

I have three hours right now (well a little less than that) then at least three hours after the airport trip. If I can't be disciplined enough to get through it in that amount of time, I don't deserve to go dancing. I still WILL, I just won't deserve it, lol.

I can't believe you read a whole book Thursday night...

That sounds very idyllic! Have an awesome day! I still have a cold, so I'm trying to garner my resources for next week when I have to make up all the work I missed this week!

I'm working on my novel, under the covers, and still cold.

Robin, feel better! Ibis is still not completely over his sickness.

AC, keep working! Maybe the heat from your brain will warm the rest of you...

Sounds like a good day to me! :)
I was going to get this house in order but that didn't happen. I'm hoping it will get done tomorrow.
Enjoy the dancing!

I haven't been able to access the Forum for the last couple of days. Is anyone else having a problem?
