When Sarcasm Bites You on the...

I'm running around like a mad woman today so I don't have much time to post, but I do want to get something off my chest. I've said it once before: I'm very sarcastic. Sometimes the thought in my head gets a little garbled on its way out my fingers and into the computer and I spend the rest of the day fighting the urge come back and edit my post.

No one's ever said anything to me about it. Never accused me of being mean, rude, or a beeyoch, but I still feel that way sometimes. Add to that a cranky mood and I feel like I shouldn't even be posting (that would be yesterday). I think it's obvious when I'm in a good mood - which is most of the time - but I've always hated that my bad moods are so transparent.

Anyways, I just had to say that. I hope you're all having a lovely day. I'm off to play with the dogs. :)

*scratches head, trying to think of example post*

I know what you mean. Sometimes the itch to delete a post - so the fact I'm a total dork isn't out there in cyberland forever - is so tangible.

FWIW, and I know I only see a small percentage of your posts (then again, how often do you post in the cantina? :P ), I can't think of anything worth concern.

Enjoy the doggies!

hahaha Melanie. OMG in my head you've always been this really sweet nice person (which I guess you can be sweet and nice and sarcastic, at least I hope so, cause I'm a major smartass)

Anyway, NOW I will have to read everything you say through the filter of sarcasm. hahaha. It's gonna be a whole new Melanie. :P

Just think, all of us who picture you as this sweet girl are now going to be looking out for the beeyoch to come out!

FWIW, I re-read your posts from yesterday and didn't find anything overly grumpy.

Sheesh, you don't have to be so rude about it.

Meanie.

If it's any consolation, I don't think you come off as mean or sarcastic at all! I think you always sound nice and funny! (Of course, this is coming from a woman who recently told her son to "eat dirt" when he complained there was no food in the house.)

Melanie, I never got that vibe. No need to worry. We all luv ya.

Janna, I'm EXTRA sarcastic in the Cantina!

Zoe, did I just shoot myself in the foot? lol. Now everyone has discovered my hidden self. :)

Thanks Heather.

Packsaddle, I have to laugh because if you drop the L from my name you get Meanie. And that's the second time I've pointed that out this week!

Robin, lol! Eating dirt sounds like a perfectly reasonable dinner option. I think I'll keep that in mind next time Ibis hates my cooking.

Thanks Aaron. :)

I don't think I ever read any of your posts as being sarcastic. Hmm.. Maybe I should go back and read.

Did you really like having the cockroaches then? :)

Nadine, lol. Those, I'm afraid, were my true feelings for those beasts.

btw, I killed a big one and four babies yesterday, ugh.

I'm way more sarcastic IRL than I am online. Just ask my poor husband.

I tend to edit myself better online.

Totally nice and funny. In fact, I've never noticed your sarcasm.

That's not to say I'm not known for things flying over my head, LOL! :-)
