I Once Was Lost...

I would like to take this moment to thank Zoe. The other day on her blog we were discussing TV shows and I mentioned that I haven't been able to see Lost - one of my favorite shows - since Feb '07. They do show it here but I'm so far behind I wouldn't know what's going on.

She suggested I watch them online. I've had many people suggest this and in this day and age it's a very logical idea, what with the internet taking over and all, but the network sites don't allow you to view if you're outside of the US. Stupid IP addresses. I've even had people send me links to sites that supposedly go around that rule, but they never work either.

Well, Zoe is my savior. She knows of a site that lets me watch Lost! (and many other shows) I'm not going to tell you the name because I'm afraid it will disappear if "they" catch on, but if you need to know, drop me an email.

Yesterday I watched the first seven episodes of season three - to catch up - and I'm sure I'll finish that season in the next couple days. This probably won't help my writing, but I did get more done yesterday. I even worked in an amazing detail I discovered during my research.

Eleven more days!

So, does your brain hurt now after all those Lost episodes? I just watch one at a time and my brain hurts...you must be reeling.

I haven't seen Lost since the first season. I totally loved it but then had a class during it's time frame.. I'm so far behind I'd have to start over... LOL I keep thinking I'll rent the seasons from Blockbuster and have myself a marathon.. but I never get around to it.

I watched the entire first season and half of the second season of Burn Notice over two days. You gotta try it: it's awesome!

You can always use a Proxy. I've never tried it, but I bet you can google a tutorial that makes it easy to access all the US sites.

Here's a list of up-to-date proxies.

Glad you're enjoying it. I had to find that site because I'm on Linux and I was frustrated that my new flash player wasn't showing up as installed right.

Then I discovered that network is only set up for windows and mac users. So I was screwed anyway.

I watched "Heroes" episodes I missed on the computer. That was fun. Only one dumb commercial you had to wait for.

When you're online, sites can "read" whether you're from New York or Mexico. A proxy sort of filters your signature through, say, New York, which means you'd be able to see all the US-only things.

Here's a wikipedia article on it.

Just think: you'd be able to be kicked out of Scrabulous, too!

Lost is one of my very favorite shows of all time! I'm kind of jealous of you, getting to watch so many great episodes for the first time.

I've been watching TV shows online for about 4 month. No TV here in my apartment yet. It was nice to come across the sites. If you'd like another great site, hulu has lots of old shows.

And thanks for the comment. Chris got conformation today that his case is settled.
