A Blessing in Disguise

My one girlfriend here went home to Canada for a few weeks and I've promised to look in on her pets while she's gone. There is someone staying there, but he works during the day and these animals require a lot of attention.

This is Lucky (previously seen on this blog):

And Coco:

I plan to go over there every other day for a couple hours in the afternoon. Since no one else will be there, I figure this will be a perfect time for me to write. I'm getting very close to the end - closer than I thought I was - and several hours of uninterrupted quality time with my pen and notebook is just what I need. No internet to lure me away.

Although I might have a hard time resisting these two:

They are so cute!! I want a dog so bad, but our landlord says no.

Playing with the dogs will get you ready for getting your own puppy in a month!

I know!

I should clarify though - I think the puppies will be BORN next month, so it'll be a little longer before we can take them home. I'm getting anxious!

I think those cuties will be far more distracting than the internet... LOL Unless you're made of stone I'm guessing you'll get about the same amount of writing done.. but here's hoping.

How exciting to be close to finishing your WIP. I'm about 32,000 into mine.. about a third of the way done. I spread myself pretty thin with all the junk I do.. so I'm doing pretty good progress wise on it.. LOL

awwww I LOVE Chihuahuas. They are the sweetest most awesome dogs! And it is a great writing time for you.

I have a friend who calls Chihuahuas: "Chi Who-ah Who-ah's

Jane was right. They distracted me the entire time. :) That, plus another friend came over to check on the animals so we chatted for an hour. What can you do?

Travis, I do like your thinking...

Zoe, we're hoping to get one soon!

Oh my God. Adorable.

Almost as cute as my dog.

They're cute! And the perfect little trial run for you.

Good luck as you blaze through your book to the end!

Thanks. They are so sweet and were extra cuddly yesterday since mama's gone. Ohh.

Lucky and Coco are precious. I'd never be able to get any writing done--dogs are a HUGE distraction for me, looking up with those sweet "Let's just play for a minute" faces!
