*cue slasher-flick music*

I'm sure there are a lot of things I've done 666 times and now I can add "posting to my blog."

Among others (I'm guessing -- I haven't actually counted):
- eaten ... (Wow, I thought I'd start with an easy one and now I'm stuck thinking about everything I've possibly eaten 666 times. Let's just go with cheese and leave it at that.)
- shot a basketball
- fallen down
- done a spin salsa dancing
- saved a document (that's per day; I'm a tad compulsive)
- tripped
- petted Owen
- read a book (not the same book -- books in general -- and yes, the total is probably much higher, as is the cheese)
- read about the Jen-Brad-Angelina love triangle
- wished the paparazzi would leave Jen-Brad-Angelina alone
- watched a Leonardo Dicaprio film (and George Clooney, Viggo Mortensen, Clive Owen, Johhny Depp, Paul Walker ((I'm sorry, he's hot)), and Tom Cruise ((back in the day)))
- quoted Ben Stiller
- turned left
- craved goat cheese
- twirled my wedding band
- bit off my split ends
- used adverbs
- cracked my knuckles
- emailed my mom
- wondered how different my life would be if I'd never moved to DC
- poured a glass of wine
- laughed with my best friend (we've known each other 29 years ((holy crap!!)) so it's probably more)
- slammed my shin, knee, or thigh into something
- said "I love the internet"
- missed my friends
- missed my family
- smiled at the kindness of others, whether it involved me or not
- marveled at the adorableness that is my dog
- wished my online friends lived closer
- wondered about my future
- been grateful for everyone who's touched my life

What's something you've done 666 times?

Sighed over a mess Demon Baby made.

Hugged and kissed my kids (WAY more than that)

Wished on a star (always do that)

Knocked on wood (superstitious)

Erica, I started thinking about how many times I've literally done some of those things, and 666 times probably only covers two years, if that.

I should have included knocking on wood. I do that all the time.

Went to bed missing Glenn.
Cuddled with my cats.
Yelled at my cat for trying to knock over the water before drinking it. (Weird habit, no idea why she does it. In the middle of the night. Multiple times. Waking me up.)

Very cool post!

Driven the same road to work.
Taught typing.
Made dinner.
Slept more than 8 hours.

I've posted around 666 comments on your blog. ;)

Natasha, sorry about Glenn. :( That is weird about the water. I could probably add "told Owen 'no'" to my list.

Thanks Elana! I forgot about driving. Yeah...

JLC, very true. :) Not many people can say that!

Wow, there are probably a lot of things I've done that many times, but hmmm....

Okay, here's a fun one. I've queried that many times (for the three books) LOL. :) Which also means I've been rejected that many times, lol.

Oh hoo, this list is awesome! LOVE that you included "turned left." ROFL!

*had an iced mocha
*washed my hands (per day, it seems)
*eaten at McDonald's
*driven into town (which I have to go do now, to get littlest from preschool...)

Such a creative post! Loved it.

Melanie Avila said...

Nadine, I hope you're kidding. That's a LOT!!

Janna, how did I forget coffee?

Great post! Well I share a lot of those with you! Let's see:

- got lost
- pet my kitties & puppy
- put on make-up, well more than that...
- ate pizza or a cheeseburger
- tripped
- emailed people in a 3 month period. I use a lot at work...

I'm sure there are others! That was fun, thanks :o)

Hmmm. Let's see:

- written the word "zombie" since October, 2009
- told my husband I love him
- told my girls I love them (each)
- missed the west coast
- thought up a great business idea, then lose track o.... oh shiny!
- read anything of Jane Austen (slightly obsessed)

I like the way you ended with sweet things.

Told myself I'd start a diet tomorrow.

Snorted when I laughed.

Took a nice, long bath.

Melanie Avila said...

Erica, ahh yes... email... :)

Stacey, ZOMBIES!! I should have included "laughed at Stacey's zombie references."

Robin, I wish I could take a bath. Mmmmm...

Okay, I went back to my spreadsheets and tallied and you are right, my counting was off. I'm still in the 400s for queries/rejections.

But I have a feeling I'll get to the 600s this year. :)

So what have I done that many times? Here's two: Quoted Fawlty Towers and fallen down. Though not at the same time. :)

Umm, no. Once I accomplish 665, I skip right over to 667. ;)

Thinking of you!
